Book the First Appointment of the Day

This no-brainer will have you in and out of the dentist’s chair or pediatrician’s office in no time. My kids’ pediatrician sees patients as early as 7:15 a.m., which sounds insane but gets us out in time to get my elementary schooler to class without a tardy slip.

The best part, though, is that the person you are seeing hasn’t had a chance to start running late yet.

Be considerate, though, and don’t be that person who shows up late and keeps the doctor, stylist, or auto mechanic waiting. Hold up your end of the deal and everyone wins.

Secret Best Time to Go to the Post Office in Temecula

This one is awesome. I have told so many people about it that I keep thinking I’m going to ruin it for myself, but it hasn’t happened yet.

The Temecula post office on Rancho California Road is open until SIX P.M., but everyone assumes they close at five, so the BEST time to pop in is at about 5:15 p.m. It’s so empty you can waltz right up to the empty desk and be served immediately. The staff is happy because the rush is over and they’re almost done for the day.

I like to use the “APO” (Automated Post Office) in the lobby but sometimes it’s unavoidable: I need to do something in person. And when I do, I’m there between 5 and 6 p.m.
